The 2013 Ford Fusion comes in S, SE, and Titanium trims. Fusion Hybrid comes in SE trim only. All models are front-wheel drive except for the Titanium, which has all-wheel drive optional.
Fusion S ($21,700) is equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. It comes standard with cloth upholstery, manually adjustable seats, manually operated air conditioning, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, automatic door locks, windows and mirrors; a trip computer, a 60/40-split fold-down rear seat, the voice-activated Sync audio and cell phone interface, a four-speaker audio system with single CD player and auxiliary audio jack, cruise control, keyless entry, automatic headlights and 16-inch steel wheels.
Fusion SE comes with a choice of 2.5-liter engine and 6-speed automatic ($23,700), turbocharged 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine with 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic ($24,495), or turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters ($25,950). Standard equipment is upgraded with an eight-way power driver seat with power lumbar, rear air vents, a rear fold-down armrest, an enhanced audio display, satellite radio capability, heated mirrors, a keyless entry keypad and17-inch alloy wheels.
Options on Fusion SE include an Appearance package ($1,250) with seating surfaces made from recycled materials, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, foglights, a rear spoiler and 18-inch painted alloy wheels. The Luxury package ($2,300) includes leather upholstery, heated front seats, driver memory settings, a power-reclining passenger seat and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The Technology package ($1,000) includes dual-zone automatic climate control, the MyFord Touch touchscreen interface with an upgraded version of Sync, two USB ports and a rearview camera. Standalone options include a sunroof ($895), reverse sensing system ($295), and 18-inch wheels ($495). Fusion SE models with the 1.6-liter engine may be equipped with an automatic Start/Stop system ($295) that turns the engine off at idle to save fuel.
Fusion Titanium is available with front-wheel drive ($30,300) or all-wheel drive ($32,200) and is powered by the turbocharged 2.0 liter engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission and paddle shifters. Fusion Titanium comes with leather upholstery, heated front sport seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless ignition/entry, remote ignition, auto-dimming side mirrors, rear parking sensors, a 12-speaker Sony audio system with HD radio, a sport-tuned suspension and 18-inch wheels. Standalone options include a sunroof ($895) and 19-inch wheels ($695).
Fusion Hybrid ($27,200) is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-4 paired with an electric motor and an electric continuously variable transmission (eCVT) and comes with all features found on the Fusion SE plus cloth seats made from 100 percent recyclable materials, dual-zone automatic climate control and unique 17-inch wheels.
Safety features on all models include front seat side airbags, front knee airbags and side curtain airbags, antilock disc brakes, traction control, electronic stability control. Emergency crash notification comes standard. Optional blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning and a lane-keeping function can reduce the chance of an accident. An optional rearview camera can help the driver spot a small child behind the car when backing up. Available all-wheel drive enhances stability in slippery conditions. Always wear seatbelts because they are your primary line of defense in an accident.
