2021 Ford Bronco Sport
The Ford Bronco Sport is a brand-new, long-awaited off-roading machine available for the 2021 model year. This compact SUV offers rugged chops and innovative tech to spare. Keep reading to find more about what the Bronco Sport has to offer.
Trim Levels
The base model of the Bronco Sport has LED running lights, standard flip-up black glass, a safari-style roof with storage rails, a carbon-black grille with Bronco badging and active shutters, adjustable liftgate floodlights, and even an integrated bottle opener for unforgettable tailgate parties. With a rubberized cargo floor, the Big Bend model is easy to clean after messy adventures. It also includes 17-inch high-gloss gray aluminum wheels and LED fog lamps. Next up, the Outer Banks trim has a distinctive look with a bold black grille, white Bronco badging, a Shadow Black roof, and black-painted aluminum wheels. The Badlands is a rugged Bronco Sport model with off-road tires and metal bash plates. With this trim, you have your choice of 17-inch carbonized gray wheels with pockets or low-gloss gray aluminum 17-inch wheels. At the top of the Bronco Sport lineup, you'll find the First Edition. This fully loaded SUV features a carbonized black grille with black Bronco badging and cool Shadow Black graphic details.
Engine
The entry-level, Outer Banks, and Big Bend trims all come with a 1.5-liter turbo three-cylinder engine that provides 181 healthy horses and 190 pound-feet of torque. If you choose the First Edition or the Badlands models, you'll harness the power of a larger 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine, which gets 277 pound-feet of torque and 250 horsepower. Both engines come with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
The Bronco Sport is the rare compact SUV that can truly take to the trails. Every trim is equipped with all-wheel drive, several skid plates, and suspension that will get you through even the toughest terrain. Depending on the trim, you can also take advantage of elevated ground clearance and steep approach and descent angles to make it over tall, jagged rocks. A terrain management system allows you to adjust your driving experience based on road conditions.
Most 2021 Bronco Sport models can tow up to 2,000 pounds, and the First Edition and Badlands models can haul a max of 2,200 pounds.
Interior
The Bronco Sport is ready to go everywhere you go, with more than 32 cubic feet of cargo space. The seats fold completely flat for even more room, and you'll find handy small item storage throughout the cabin. This small SUV also provides you with the latest technology, including a standard 8-inch touch screen that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also has a six-speaker stereo, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and four USB ports to keep everyone's devices charged for the duration of your journey. You can also upgrade to add wireless device charging, a premium Bang & Olufsen audio system, remote start, automatic climate control, ambient interior lighting, and a power moonroof.
Safety Features
Lots of standard safety features give you confidence and peace of mind when you drive the Bronco Sport. Every trim includes pedestrian detection, forward-collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high beams, lane-keep assistance, lane-departure warning, and a rearview camera.
